Kulukulu Coral & Seaweed Conservations- Blue Economy
The project is looking at replanting of corals and conserving the marine lives as it nurtures huge seaweed plants that would become a potential blue economy industry in Marovo Lagoon. Objectives include; To conserve the marine ecosystem at the same time utilize tourism destination sites.
The main activity is to plant or replant coral polyps to help the marine biodiversity in the location.
To nurture the current seaweed stock and replant more seaweed for food and cash.
To foster employment opportunities for the locals, and alleviate our living standard
To improve and contribute to the preservation of our Marovo Lagoon?s World Heritage reflection.

Project Components are:
Established a working group committee, labour allocations, etc.
Having a conserved marine Eco-system.
Mid-term review and reporting.
Final review and reporting.

Expected Outputs are:
Community participation in the environmental conservation and the related tourism industry is boosted.
Job creation opportunities for the communities created.
Standard of living improved.
