Project Characteristics and Results
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Communication will be carried out via (a) on-site visits and meetings with HECAF360 staff and local stakeholders; (b) virtual calls (weekly at the beginning of implementation, with contact becoming less frequent as the model becomes successfully established); (c) e-mail, and meetings. HECAF360's model is communication-heavy, particularly focusing on in-person visits, because we understand that safe health care waste management needs to be reinforced again and again in order for it to become ingrained in a majority of health care staff members.
Notable Community Participation
Involving youth and local NGOs and CBOs on proper waste management through the 3R approach (reduce, reuse, recycle).
