Overall objectives/activities to be implemented under the grants: protecting and sustainably
exploiting seaweed, improving livelihoods, protecting the environment and biodiversity in coastal areas
of Binh Son district.
Specific objectives are presented below:
Objective 1: Raise awareness of seaweed conservation and coastal marine ecosystems and build
community capacity to respond to climate change.
Objective 2: Establish livelihood models based on the principle of sustainable exploitation of seaweed
and marine ecosystems.
Objective 3: Develop organizations and approaches to protect aquatic resources and prevent
unsustainable exploitation practices based on the co-management mechanism.
