Project of Coastal Wetland Protection and Island Garbage Governance in Huludao, Liaoning Province
Baseline:
Biodiversity conservation value of the project site ?
After the association's 2018 "Huludao Wetland Bird Survey" Forestry Liang Xi Award and 2014 "Huludao City Wild Bird Survey and Protection Countermeasures" Municipal Science and Technology Progress Achievement Second Prize lasted six years to investigate the regional project research topics, the Dongsha River estuary wetland area is an important area for large winter migratory birds such as gray cranes, red-crowned cranes, bean geese and wild geese wintering in Huludao wintering, and the crane flock can reach up to 2,000 birds. The Dongshahe wetland is also an important feeding ground, with more than 300 summer migratory birds, white-rumped curlews and great curlew, and friendly marine coastal fishery farming provides an important food supplement for East Asian migratory birds.
