Mulheres Guardiãs das Sementes que gera Vida Women Guardians of the Seeds that generate Life

The general objective of the project is to strengthen the organization of peasant women of the Movimento das Mulheres Unidas na Caminhada, located in Santa Maria da Vitória, through the production of healthy foods and the rescue of Creole seeds. The project aims to strengthen food production by women, attracting new women to engage and promoting empowerment, autonomy and income generation for rural workers in the Corrente river basin. The project is expected to promote food diversity, increase family income and conserve biodiversity.

Capacity - Building Component

ANNUAL MEETING Theme Agroecology Creole Seeds and Women's mental health after the pandemic. Let's see someone who can advise within the partners. Gender Focus

Discussing and including people in meetings and gatherings, always bringing the topic to our reality. It is a theme that the movement has as its battle flag and has been working on over these years of the movement's history. The principle of the organization is to promote the protagonism and empowerment of women.

Policy Impact

Strengthen work in aspects of public policies, from small localized demands initiatives to those at a regional, state and national level, associating the achievements of women's organizational struggles in the region and state.

Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment

Through meetings, meetings, digital media, photos and videos, at the Seed Fair and Exchange. Through lectures, dialogues, pamphlets, sex and in practice making gardens and visits to backyards.

Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods

Two Criollo Seed Fairs and Exchanges that took place in October 2023 and October 2024. Notable Community Participation

We will have two moments of great participation, which are the 3rd and 4th exchange of Crioula Seeds. At the two Annual Meetings we will have the presence of young people and elderly people. We have in the coordination and base groups young and old people who participate in meetings, encounters and moments of knowledge exchange. The participation of young and old will be in all processes.

Inovative Financial Mechanisms

We will use social media, with short videos, photos, flyers, banners and folders.
