Replicating the sustainable livelihood model from Met tree development along its value chain to reduce pressure on biodiversity and forest ecosystem function in Tuong Duong district, Nghe An province.
The grant is aimed to scale up sustainable livelihood models of developing Met (bamboo) along its value chain to reduce the pressure on forest biodiversity and ecosystem in 6 villages in Tam Quang, Tam Thai, Tam Dinh communes and Thach Giam town in Tuong Duong district, Nghe An province.
Overall Objective: Replicating the model of protecting, restoring, and exploiting Met plantation forests in Project VNM/UNDP/2021/04 among 245 households, with an area of 444 hectares in 6 villages of Tam Quang commune (Ban Tam Huong), commune Tam Thai (Na Tong village, Tan Hop village), Tam Dinh commune (Dinh Huong village), Thach Giam town (Chan village, Nhan village), Tuong Duong district, Nghe An province; contributing to achieving the general objectives of the BR project.
