Strengthening the organizational and productive process of the Baixa Brande community, enhancing agroecological production.
The project aims to strengthen agroecological production in family production units, aiming to guarantee food and nutritional security and income generation for 18 farming families in Correntina. Among the main activities, the implementation of an irrigation system, soil analysis, and technical assistance for soil improvement stand out. The initiative seeks to contribute to the well-being of families, to the conservation of the environment and to the promotion of pesticide-free foods.

Capacity - Building Component
During the execution of the project, four workshops are intended to be held:
1. Soil Fertility:
1.1. Soil formation and composition;
1.2. Nutrient balance;
1.3. Soil acidity ? essential nutrients for plants
1.4. Importance of soil fertility for the good development of plants;
1.5. Fertility x productivity;
1.6. Approach to macro and micronutrients and their importance, as well as what the absence of these nutrients in the soil implies;
1.7. Possible types of fertilizers recommended to meet nutritional deficiencies.
Instructor: Suzane Nascimento e Silva. Agricultural Engineer, graduate of Escola Família Agrícola Padre André and technical consultant at the Biosistéticos Institute.
