The project aims to improve the management and sustainable use of the Fecho de Pasto do Capão Grosso and Tatú areas, guaranteeing the subsistence of families from traditional communities living in these places. With around 650 families benefiting, the project aims to preserve springs, protect medicinal plants and native fruits of the Cerrado, in addition to ensuring the appropriate use of natural resources. The project aims to guarantee the permanence of families in the territory, while promoting the appreciation of the Fecheira identity and the conservation of the Cerrado's biodiversity.

Project Characteristics and Results
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
- Holding a seminar on caring for the territory and valuing the Feira identity.
- Carrying out an exchange with communities in Fecho de pasto that have been developing spring enclosures, fire management and other uses of the Cerrado's socio-biodiversity, such as bee keeping. Joint effort to create firebreaks around the general perimeter of the enclosure, be careful with the fence and avoid fire.
- Joint effort to build 7.0 km of carcass in the general perimeter of the Capão Grosso enclosure. The area where the fence will be built will be cleaned, followed by the holes for the stretchers and posts, installation and passage of wire.
- Monitoring of the closures of Fundo de Pasto do Tatu and Capão Grosso.
- Holding a community meeting with women and young people, about their importance in defending the territory.
- Renovation and improvement of the community and family slaughterhouse in the Tatú Community.
- Carrying out a workshop on Good production practices in the slaughterhouse, community and family, SIM inspection
- Capacity building on marketing family farming products in open-air markets and institutional markets.
