Ecological and Sustainable Worm farm (Red Wiggiers)
The worm farm will be established on a plot of land rented by the Palestinian Youth Union with an area of 600 square meters in the village of Artas/Bethlehem. Artas is characterized as an agricultural village rich in natural water sources and contains Tourist areas and biodiversity through Acquiring worms by supplying 5,000 Red Wigglers from reliable suppliers with high specifications. Providing a device to break down organic waste and facilitate its digestion by worms. Supplying a device for packaging the resulting compost. Establishing the complaints and feedback system for the Palestinian Youth Union. Holding a theoretical and practical training program for a month with the presence of a specialist in worm farms and sustainable development to raise the capabilities of the youth group on work mechanisms, technical and administrative attention to the farm, marketing and follow-up mechanisms, and access to the market.
Creating a social media page for the farm and a documentary video. Broadcasting radio program on Radio 24 FM about the worm Farm, its importance, how to benefit from it, and encourage farmers to benefit from its products and repeat the experience.
By integrating these elements, the project aims not only to establish a functional worm farm but also to create awareness, engage the community, and promote the farm's products through various channels, including social media and radio broadcasts.
