Inovative Financial Mechanisms
The project publications/notes will be uploaded in the official website of the WWN for wider public. In addition, the municipality uploads in their official website. Sharing the e-copy of publications/project brief/notes with those stakeholders through the Raithaane Agri-products Nepa Pvt. Ltd.
Gender Focus
WWN Nepal in partnership with the Municipality will implement the proposed project with the aim to increase the area of cultivation to 70 hectares. This is expected to benefit 250 families, where almost all HHs are from indigenous community. More than half of those beneficiaries are women and while approximately 35 percent comprises youth, and 69 people with disabilities. Introduction of labour-saving machines and tools will reduce the work load of already burdened women and involve men in the farming. Hand tractors are mostly operated by men.
Similarly, the project facilitates to open the bank accounts in women?s name so they can deposit income in their account and involve in financial transaction. This will help empower women in financial sector, which is traditionally men?s domain.
