Strengthening PGS through improving mountains economy
The project aimed in establishing Organic Aymaks (villages) in 4 regions of the
country. Incepted by 24 farmers the project united the farmers of the village start
converting from traditional methods of farming into organic.
Activities:
? Promoting Agrobiodiversity and Sustainable Practices: The project spearheaded
initiatives aimed at enhancing agrobiodiversity (organic farming, seed distribution
of potatoes, garlic, medical herbs, seedlings of berries) and promoting sustainable
agricultural practices.
? Capacity building: training sessions have empowered farmers with the knowledge
of organic techniques, soil management, and pest control. These efforts not only
enhance local sustainability but contribute to the broader global objective of
safeguarding biodiversity.
