Overall objective/activities to be implemented under the grant: To operate an efficient and effective home for the most vulnerable persons of our society. Objectives: 1 To install a solar powered system that would result in the reduction of electricity consumption and ensure a supply even in times of disaster. 2. To have backup water storage to reduce the risk of water shortage especially in time of disaster 3. To reduce greenhouse gases and contribute to Dominica?s thrust to be climate resilient. 4. To provide a safer environment for residents and workers. 5.To increase the sustainability in operations of the home with the agriculture garden. 6. To build more sound and viable partnerships with various Organisations. 7.To build management and organizational capacity

Activities: a) Construction of concrete stands to support water storage tanks. b) Installation of water tanks. c) Installation of renewable energy system- solar power to provide electricity needs of the Home. d) Development of community garden for supply of foods to home e) Training of staff and board members f) Structural adjustments; roof renovations, replacements of doors and placement of burglar bars
