3. Project name: Building and strengthening resilience to Climate change impacts in the Tarreau community through Management of Bush Fires

Overall objective / activities to be implemented under the grant: To preserve the ecosystem for generations to come.
Objectives: 1. Development of community garden for supply of foods to home 2. Training of staff and board members 3. Structural adjustments; roof renovations, replacements of doors and placement of burglar bars 4. To increase vegetation with reforestation using selected species that are more fire resistant 5. Build awareness of the forest ecosystems and empower residents for advocacy. 6. To reduce erosion with increased vegetation on slopes including food crops 7. To increase access to water, to manage fires and maintain vegetation 8. To empower residents in disaster Risk Reduction with training and plans.

Activities: a). Clearing of lands. b). Planting of climatized fire-resistant stems and species. c). Monitoring and maintenance of stems. d). create safe and proper access to project site e). Train at least 25 residents in DDR and plant maintenance f). Develop a Disaster Plan with Community
