Weaving for life: Supporting the growth of woven products and the preservation of traditional weaving
General Objective: Strengthen and preserve the cultural heritage of Indonesian weaving in Kajang in South Sulawesi and NTT by focusing activities on developing creative and innovative products, regenerating weavers and forming a network of young people in the Weaving Advocate to disseminate information about weaving through social media.
Specific Objectives 1 Strengthen skills in product development in the Kalea Group in Kajang Tanah Toa
Indicator 1. Implementation of one online assessment for the assisted group by the online WFL team
2. Carrying out a one-time assessment of the availability of supporting raw materials in Makassar and Bulukumba
3. Carrying out one-time training with material provided by TM
4. Implemented two new product development trainings
5. Costing and pricing training for 4 new products with 20 participants, in one day and participants carried out direct practice in calculating costs and creating pricing for new products.
6. There is one industrial machine
7. Implementation of one training on the introduction of industrial sewing machines, for 20 participants
8. One trial was carried out to make a product using an industrial sewing machine
9. Photo taking activities were carried out by the WFL team to coincide with the production process. Taking photos is used to complete the module.
10. There is 1 module that can be used as a learning guide and involves group members to check or try out the module along with repeating the training independently by the group
11. Editing and layout activities were carried out to adapt the module requirements required by the community
12. There is one module that will be printed in 30 copies for independent retraining by the group
13. One visit was carried out by two people from the weaving group and one person from the WFL team to InaCraft.
14. The group was involved in a one-time exhibition of products and derivative products with products from kajang weaving at the National exhibition with LAWE.
Activity 1. Assessment carried out online for assisted groups and availability of raw materials
2. Training on product development and use of industrial sewing machines
3. Creation of New Training Modules
4. The weaving group takes part in a national exhibition
Specific Objective 2 Establishing a Weaving Village School in East Nusa Tenggara
Indicator 1. Two people from the WFL team surveyed each location for a duration of 1 day at each location to obtain initial data and photos. The next step will be to recruit one person to stay on site.
2. Established three Weaving Village Schools that focus on introducing, training and regenerating weavers
3. Delivery of photography material, narration for photos, and social media to support weaving advocacy with 10 participants
4. There is one general reading material and 25 samples for each village school
5. There is a village school for practical weaving theory
Three are studying and practicing weaving
6. There is a village school for the practical theory of weaving
7. Making a series of derivative products from each Weaving Village School location
8. Making woven products according to sample products to start marketing
Activity 1. Assessment for the three Weaving Village Schools
2. Establishment of Three Weaving Village Schools
3. Formation of a Weaving Advocate Community
4. There are learning facilities in the form of general reading materials and weaving
5. Training for Weaving Village Schools

Specific Objective 3 Recruitment Social media Specialist
Indicator 1. Recruitment of two people to fill the position of social media specialist. One person takes care of social media and another person acts as a communicator with the internal team
2. There is a posting schedule that will be used as a reference source for the next year
3. Content management for Instagram social media in the form of reels, stories and posts and managing the website using materials obtained by the WFL team in the field
Activities 1. Recruitment of a special team to work as social media specialists
2. Making a posting schedule for one year
3. Creation of a content plan
4. Creating monthly output for social media
