Training Local Observers for community based biological monitoring.
US$18421 was provided to the Research and Conservation Foundation of PNG to undertake capacity building of local people in the Crater Mountain Wildlife Management Area. The training enabled the local people to take responsibility for the effective management of their protected area including assisting with solutions for alternative income generating opportunities. Training also provided for observation methods for monitoring of specific fauna under study. Project completed.
