Communitary forestry in Aldea Panimatzalam, San Andrés Semetabaj, Sololá
OBJECTIVES
1)To maintain an environmental education program for adults and children of the participant organizations.
2)To provide continuity to efforts of already begun reforestation and natural forest management activities.
This project will provide opportunities for training to stakeholders that have already begun reforestation activities, strengthen tree nurseries production, locate and process forest seeds, and manage of organic mulching.
Additionally, will provide access to forests inventories assessments and technical assistance for the establishment of forest management plans.

Notable Community Participation
OUTSTANDING. Through an environmental education program that includes both stakeholders training activities and radio programs in local language (caqchikel) a total of 234 participants develop 3 tree nurseries and related forest and agroforestry plantations using organic agriculture methods, on the Lake Atitlán protected area watershed
