Strengthening Informal Conservation Areas in Madang Province, Kau & Gum areas of the Madang Province.
US$9.300.00 was provided to the Christensen Research Institute (CRI) to undertake wareness strengthening of the Kau Wildlife Area and the Ohu Area for conservation purposes. At both sites, funds were used for materials and labour to construct walk trails through he wildlife areas, to enhance policing by the clan of the sites, and to open the sites to eco tourism in a controlled way.
