This socio-environmental action aims to valorize specific domestic wastes by involving handicapped women . The project targets are : Waste valorization, income generation for handicapped women, awareness raising through the participation of handicapped women and the involvement of their families and neighbors in environment preservation.

Gender Focus

The persons concerned here are handicapped women trying to get back to manual activities after their respective accidents.

Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods

The product resulting from the valorization actions will be sold according to an elaborated marketing plannification. Thus, an income, even moderate, will be generated to these women and their families.

Capacity - Building Component

This project involve mainly the handicapped women and their famlies, neighbours and friends : In fact, the specific wastes that will be used by the handicapped women in order to valorize them is collected first, by ones of their familiars.

Notable Community Participation

Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment

Waste valorization concern is locally treated in this project. The awarness will reach both participants (handicapped women and familiar) and persons informed about their work.

Project Results

Collect and sorting of waste by the handicapped person, their families, neighbors and friends

Transformation of waste the artist to be worked by small groups by taking into account the driving and intellectual possibilities of each recipient ex: Saloua donot can work the papier-mâché but draws very well and has many ideas. It déjàfabriquée ten tables of tables inspired by the inheritance.
This stage the finished products are of a very good quality each handicapped person highlight her work and think already has to make a lucrative project.

Vocational training, larger sensitivities to the problems of the environment, training of a trade blooming pasychologic of the people implied in the project

Meeting with the partners these people have to appreciate the objects much already make and propose to make an exposure sale.
Exposure sale took place the women Ambassadrices, the partners came and bought many things certain people placed from the orders. The benefit were shared by the handicapped person
Operation medias: three emissions television took place, as well as a radio transmission and several articles with the newspapers several artists are been published proposed to voluntarily frame the handicapped person and brought back new ideas.
