770 organizations received the survey for assessment of the existing practices and experiences. The meetings for discussion of the results were held in Diorama, state of Goiás, and Carolina, state of Maranhão. Results were published and submitted. Thus, all activities proposed by the project were successfully carried out. Strengths and weaknesses could be identified by the whole community of organizations working toward the conservation of the Cerrado biome and its peoples. Problems faced include the fact that the survey was a little longer than expected, and was therefore not answered by all of the organizations, and took a long time to be answered by those who did. Persistence in requesting the return of the questionnaires and simplification were the solutions adopted. The main lessons learned in this project were that there are many good experiences in existence, which are little-known to the general public and other organizations working toward the same goal. This initiative helped to bring these experiences to attention and put them in touch with other similar experiences.
