Kambaramba Artificial Lake Feasibility Study
The project recieved an amount of US$11,298.61 for the SGP to carry out pre-feasibility study of the Kambaramba Artificial Lake in Angoram District, East Sepik Province. The intention was to establish an artificial lake and have it gazzetted as a national protected asset and encourage the fish, bird and wild duck to return to this lake. The study was done by the Deptartment of Fisheries confirmed the potential to develop the artificial lake as it would be beneficial to the local people econimocally, environmentally and socially.
The pre-feasibility report identified the following fish species: Tilapia rendalli, Puntios gonionotus, Eliotris aquadulcis, Tilapia mossambicus and Arius vulutis and Arius utarus.

The pre-feasibility report was produced and the Environmental Officers at the province were waiting for the project coordinator to provide the reports to them so that they will assist in declaring the area a Wildlife Management Area.The project funds were used up and further work did not take place.
