The NGO is based in the School St. John's College, Jaffna in the Northern Province and in the conflict zone. They were able to implement the activities of the project in the midst of difficulties. However monitoring visits were not possible by the SGP during this period. An International UNV of UNDP assisted in doing some of the monitoring.

1. More than 1000 economical and fruit bearing trees raised in the nursery established by the project and distributed for planting in the Jaffna peninsula.
2. Seminars and training programmes on nursery management, tree planting and maintaining of trees have been conducted among school children and members.
3. The first edition of the Environment magazine titled "Soolal Mirasu" was published and distributed among the people in Jaffna.
4. Competitions have been organized on essay writing, short story writing, speech, poetry and drama on Environment conservation and related topics with a participation of more than 300 school children.
