Women Participation in Biodiversity Protection in Abu Banna- Tafileh
Women Participation in Biodiversity Protection in Abu Banna- Tafileh
To enable women in the Tafileh area to contribute to biodiversity conservation through proper forest management in Abu Banna area located 10 Km east of Tafileh, the General Federation of Jordanian Women will implement the "Women Participation in Biodiversity Protection in Abu Banna- Tafileh" project. The forest is threatened by urban expansion and overgrazing. The Federation will undertake the necessary steps to protect the forest, establish a park for children, renovate an old building on site to be used as a training centre for women and engage the local community in their work through training and public awareness activities and small income generation activities.
