Use of firewood in 25 bakeries reduced by 100%.

Due to the conversion of bakeries into the use of paddy husk as fuel, the annual average of savings on fuel wood per bakery is around Rs. 60,000/-.

One year after the project termination, 14 bakeries have been converted without IDEA?s intervention due to demonstration effect of the project.

The profits of the bakery owners have increased due to conversion and this has affected in quality and the infrastructure of the industry has increased.

By the use of paddy husk in bakeries the environmental damage caused due to dumping in public placed has been reduced.

The paddy husk ash produced in bakeries are being used as fertilizer and black-ash can be sold at the rate of Rs. 50.00 per bag (appprox. 25 kilos) to the Deaprtment of Agriculture where it used to increase the carbon percentage in paddy fields.
