- 15 km of along river banks conserved and erosion contained by planting trees such as kitul palm (Cariota urens), Agave, Mora - Euphoria longana; Pihimbiya - Filicium decipiens; and Etamba - Magnifera zeylanica.
- 15 hectares of abandoned paddy land and over 75 hectares of paddy successfully cultivated after the flooding of river bank has been contained effectively.
- 15 hectares of land that was subjected to landslides and caving in is now under control.
- 7 hectares of home garden lands which were subjected to slides and erosion protected through establishing stone embankments
- 20,000 indigenous plants planted along the river banks growing well
- by request of the Forest Dept. an area of the Knuckles Forest Reserve where severe erosion takes place due to public activities protected by placing large stone boulders along the stretch so that public vehicles cannot enter the area and pollute and erode the spot.
- Awareness raising of farmer communities on sustainable farming and 300 school children on biodiversity conservation has led to a greater interest on conserving their natual environment.
