Capacity - Building Component
All 55 families have been trained by experts on organic farming, identification of medicinal plants and herbs and preparation of domestic medicines All stakeholder families are also provided training in rain water management technology. Each family is instructedon how to construct this underground facility with the least cost and how to use this resource sparingly. THis is a vital component in the training programme as the Buttala-Welassa area is noted for persistant seosonal droughts. The stakeholders are also trainied in home management of finances, basic book keeping, estabishing of a rural bank, maintenance of accounts , granting mini loans and participation in savings and credit schemes
