Ance Cayenne River Project - Clare Valley
The goal of the project was ?to raise the awareness of the natural resources in the area, clear and maintain the river mouth on both sides of the bay, as places of interest, and in so doing preserve the mangroves and wildlife, and improve the health situation in the community.? The objectives of the project were as follows:
? to clean the two river mouths in Clare Valley;

? to clean the well;

? to fence the river mouths and beautify the area, with the possibility of establishing a small park for iguana protection in one area and developing the other for mangrove protection;

? to produce literature on the subject for public education;

? to involve the primary school;

? to produce a Rallying Song, utilising local calypsonians; and

? to improve the health situation in the community through eliminating breeding sites for flies and mosquitoes controlling their populations.
