Installation of a Hydropower Plant (MINDANAO)
Installation of a Hydropower Plant (MINDANAO)
The project intends to develop and install a miro-hydropower system for household electrification and operation of production facilities (abaca stripping machine and rice/corn mill). Forming part of the project was the installation of a conservation/protection mechanism for the watershed areas. Sidlakang Dabaw Foundation Inc. handled the project management and coordination. A self-trained person, also a member of the partner community and a Mandaya developed/designed the system and supervised actual construction. The local community provided the labor and local materials as counterpart.
