Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
Alternative self-sustaining livelihood projects included bangus fry gathering, and micro-credit.
Notable Community Participation
Extensive community participation in the planting of mangrove species, and the construction/installation of artificial reefs. In addition, a multi-sectoral body (composed of government, non-government and business organizations) was formed to established a fish sanctuary and formulate a coastal resource management plan.
