Public environmental analysis in Caspian Sea (Ecological propagation to prevent pollution of Northern Caspian sea area)
The Caspian Sea is one of the major water arteries of Kazakhstan, and plays a very important role in economic and social aspect of sustainable livelihood of the people. Now the reservoir, as well as other water pools, is exposed to strong anthropogenous influence through pollution mostly by industrial wastes, degradation of the coast due to felling of trees, etc.
The project is directed on carrying out of information campaign on prevention of pollution of Caspian sea by industrial oil corporations. Within the project information about polluting sources and the size of emissions will be summarized, the results of independent researches will be reported to the public, recommendations on improvement of the situation in the area will be developed.

Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
A press conference and round table, devoted to the Caspian Sea environment situation will be organized, with the participation of the local government, NGOs (local and international), factories/pollutors, mass-media, and scientists-ecologists (local and international). In addition, leaflets and posters will be disseminated, and an ecological information board will be installed.
Capacity - Building Component
This project will strengthen the NGO's capacity to develop and to implement projects on informational campaigns, the ecoculture in the local community will be increased, and cooperation between NGOs in the region will be improved.
