A visit was made to the NGO premises and project locations in Maghagha District after submitting the final report
Findings:
The NGO has installed 69 solar heaters with capacity of 120 liters (according to the original plan 10 of them should be installed with capacity of 180 liters)
Problems:
1- Lack of necessary experience in handling the financial matters even they were received a training course on project management.
2- The trained technicians left the village which threatens the sustainability of the project.
3- The NGO did not prepare a plan for sustainability after the project completion.

The final payment was suspended till the NGO respond to the requirement of the Programme.


The visit was made to verify the accomplishment of all project activities taken into consideration the last visit comments.
Findings:
1. The NGO has installed two new heaters with capacity of 120 liters (to cover the difference between the proposed units and the actual one)
2. The financial statement of the project was prepared in a professional format.
3. The plan of sustainability was prepared to cover the installation of the new heaters after the project and the maintenance of the existing heaters.

The NGO received the final payment

Corrections:
The NGO was advised to
1- Hire a professional accountant to prepare the financial statements of the project
2- Contacting the solar heaters supplier to train three technicians as part of the contract between the NGO and company without extra fund
3- Prepare a plan of sustainability including the new installed heaters and maintaining the existed heaters.
