Project Characteristics and Results
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
Fish is the main income source of the local people. Promotion of the sustainable fishing methods will not only benefit nature but also the sustainable livelihood of the fishermen.
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Fishermen, children and local authorities will be the main target group of the project's awareness activities. Also a national seminar is being organised targeting the key decision makers to raise awareness on the threats to sturgeon and their consequences.
