Oistins Fisheries Co-Management Pilot Project
The overall goal of the OFComp project is to enable the Oistins Fisherfolk Association (OFA) carry out sustainable business activities within the Oistins area. In order to achieve this goal the following activities will be undertaken:

-development of local capacities for active participation of fisherfolk in a co-management arrangement of their local inshore fishery, by providing training and experience in participatory planning and management skills;

workshops on project planning and management and fisheries management and group dynamics, sustainable, non-extractive income generating activities (the development of a marine park); and

-development of draft legislation for an institutional and legal framework for future co-management arrangements.

Capacity - Building Component
