Gediz Delta is one of the 9 Ramsar Sites in Turkey and an Important Bird Area for its breeding populations of Dalmatian Pelican, Greater Flamingo, Lesser Kestrel, Avocet, Stone Curlew, Collared Pratincole, Kenttish Plover, CaspianTern, Mediterranean Gull, Spur-winged lover.
The project aims to improve the habitat of the threatened bird species.
