Supplimentary Grant for publication & dissemination of results of Pakistan Galliform Project.
The Pakistan Galliform Project is a three year project which is in the completion stages. It was executed by World Pheasant Association Pakistan with collaboration with the N.W.F.P Wildlife Department.

It has been a monitoring program aiming to measure various populations of pheasants in Hazara district of N.W.F.P. A lot of information regarding pheasant populations, habitat utilization and ecological pressure has been collected as well as annotated checklists of bird and mammal species, updating distribution and status of many species in Hazara.

Many biodiversity projects in Pakistan working in the Northern Areas do not have any background or base data resulting in that evaluation of the project is impossible simply because it is not known what the project is attempting to initially conserve. Due to the scientific approach to this work, the results contribute indications of the conditions of the forest and also support a theory that pheasant species are important forest indicator
