Community emporement in management participation of the protected area through development of alternative economic activities
To encourage local community participation in managing nature resource management which could support the conservation efforts in Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park and provide the benefit for community welfare as well.

The project development Goal: 1. To protect the conservation at the National Park of Gunung Gede Pangrango through: compatibility increasing through the park conservation program with local community and increased the inter-relation between the national park with local, in psychological, culture and economy, short term or long term. 2. To protect the National Park of Gunung Gede Pangrango, through: providing alternative economy approach to anticipate the external short-term pressure for the cooperation between National Park and local community. This also to anticipate long-term external issue with future environment actors (programs for local children and environment education). The goal also tries to decrease the eco-tourism towards the declined of the ecosystem.
Targets: 1. To provide alternative economy, compatible to the conservation issue for local community, support the relation between Park and local community livelihood. 1. To develop local conservation actors that could support community attitude that positive to the National Park preservation. 3. to increase awareness of the tourist and management of National Park on minimizing internal pressure toward the natural ecosystem of the Park.
Stakeholders targeted: 1. Local community in Gunung Gede Pangrango, 2. National Park Management, 3. NGO working with the project.
