Project goal:
Adoption of sustainable agriculture system which is based on natural resources available in Sukatani village
Project objectives:
1.To bring back the traditional practices which is best suit for agriculture management system
2.To improve the productivity of agricultural land
3.To raise community?s awareness on conservation effort
4.To raise community?s participation on conservation activities
5.To improve community?s capacity in managing their agriculture land
6.To conserve agricultural land by implementing organic farming system
7.To conserve biodiversity by planting local variety plants
8.To form a cooperative to support strengthened economic activities
Activities to be carried out under the project :
1.Preparation.
a)Problem identification
b)Solution identification based on need assessment (PRA)
c)Training module preparation
d)Demonstration project setting
e)Composting facilitees
2.Local training and education in the field.
a)Implementation organic farming and maintaining techniques for the farmers
b)Land preparation for plants cultivation;
c)Integrated pest management technique
3.Outreach Approach.
Demonstration project, revolving fund, simple newsletter, meetings, training
4.Technical Assistance.
a)Field training for the farmers
b)Managing the cooperative
5.Evaluation and Reporting.
