Project goal:
Best practices in managing post-fired land which is adopted and supported by local Community acts as well as Government policy
Project objectives:
1.To form a demonstration project which is suitable from conservation point of view as well as community?s interest
2.To improve the productivity of post-fired land
3.To increase farmer?s self reliance economic activities by applying intensification and diversification farming system
4.To conserve biodiversity by planting local variety plants
5.To raise community?s awareness and participation on conservation activities
6.To increase community?s awareness and participation in avoiding and encountering the forest fire
7.To study and draw recommendation on Government policy
8.To get support from local Government authority in best practices on nature resources and land management
Activities to be carried out under the project :
1.Preparation.
a)Coordination with local CBO in term of working management and scheduling
b)Survey on natural resources available
c)Training module
d)Supporting policy analysis
e)Solution identification based on need assessment
f)Demonstration project setting
2.Local training and education in the field.
a)Integrated nature resources management
b)Forest fire hazards management
3.Outreach Approach.
Meetings, seminar, workshop, networking, reporting
4.Technical Assistance.
a)Field training for the farmers
b)Post harvest maintaining techniques
5.Evaluation and Reporting.
