Celebrating Indigenous People's Day by the Centre for Eco Cultural Studies
Implementing a review of strategies on Indigenous knowledge made so far, exchanging of knowledge through discussion and debate, recording and publishing information gathered, compiling a compendum and directory of persons with indigenous knowledge/expertise. The project aim was to build concensus on indigenous knowledge issue through a consultative process. Several workshops with the participation of NGOs, Ministry Officials, civil society and prominent individuals who are knowledgeable in this area were invited for the workshops and for the compiling of all information gathered.
