Project results

The project was to conduct a training workshop aiming to build and strengthen grantee capacity in project management and implementation. A four-day training workshop on GEF/SGP project management and implementation organized. The training workshop covered such major topics as:
- GEF/SGP Manual on project management and implementation (planning and budgeting, M&E, reporting and financial management
- Lessons learned on GEF/SGP project management and implementation
- One GEF/SGP project site visit was also be included during the training workshop.

There were 40 participants coming from:
- The project management teams and consultants of GEF/SGP on-going projects
- GEF/SGP (NSC members and GEF/SGP secretariat)

The training workshop contributed to:
- Raising awareness of the GEF/SGP grantees on environmental issues
- Strengthening skills of GEF/SGP grantees in project management and M&E
- Promoting visibility of GEF/SGP

The project was capacity building activities with a training workshop and exchanges. There were no clear link with project sustainability, replication, policy link and scaling up.
