The main aim of the project is the protection of the biodiversity in the Bedeni Forest (near Kavaja)as well as the protection of coastal waters in the Gjenerali Beach. Participation of Local Community in different actions for biodiversity protection is considered the key element in the project success. Local Community in accordance with the Biodiversity Protection Strategy will implement different concrete measurement. Mention should be made on cleaning and forestation of a part in Bedeni Forest (1000 saplings will be planted); some actions against erosion will take place inside the Forest; a tourist infrastructure will be prepared for the area; special attention should be given to the preparation of a special regulation on treatment of this tourists place and its approval by competent authorities in order these objects to get the status of an 'ecological knot'.
A public awareness campaign will be developed: leaflets, posters, and a broshure will be published. Workshop, round table and other activities will be organised with Local communities to aware them on real values of these areas as well as to promote them in taking proper measurements for the area environmental protection.
