The main objective of this project is the preservation and protection of flora and fauna in the Sopot Area. Thus: 80% of local people will be trained on different actions have to be undertaken in the area, like forestry regeneration, area forestation etc. 60% of Local Community will be skilled on different actions have to be undertaken for earth protection from erosion; A very important element in the project will be the strengthening of cooperation amongst NGOs, Local Communities and Local Authorities in taking measures for controlling and stopping all activities like hunting of rare species, cutting of woods and rare plants, etc. It is intended also to establish a fining system for the people who break the settled rules relating to environmental preservation in the area. Forestation of a 1000M2 area will be done by local community, other measures will be taken to improve another area of 1000M2.
Public awareness campaign will be developed especially with local community to aware them on real biodiversity values in the area. Seminars will be organized, posters and leaflets will be published and media will be used to wave the activities carried out in the zone.
