The Government of Botswana through the National Conservation Strategy in collaboration with other NGOs are currently carrying out educational campaigns on conservation of Botswana scarce natural resources and keeping the environment clean. The use of energy and renewable energy resources are some of the issues addressed in these campaigns.

The Consumer Awareness on Energy Conservation project is predicted on the assumption that individuals and communities desire durable, cost saving and environmentally friendly products. As more people move into towns more energy is consumed either to perform household duties or industrial duties. Most of the products used consume a lot of energy hence high monthly bills. The intention of this project is to mobilise individuals and industries on how best they can minimize high bills by using energy saving /devices. The project also aims at promoting the use of energy audits in households and industries.
