Development and Promotion in the artisan use of non wood natural resources like row materials by the indigenous peoples from the communities locatedn into the area of RECOSMO Project influence.
Project seeks to diminish the deforestation due to the corn yields, used by the peoples for their self-consumption. Project involved to a high number of families into the four protected areas where the organization called Ak' Tenamit have running projects.
The communities are located into and around of the four protected areas. Among the activities that are mentioned they planned the following: 1)Training in new techniques of craft. 2) the search and hire of promoters with this skills. 3)opening new shops in the interested villages. 4) Handtool purchase. 5) publicity by at least three means 6) marketing
An important aspects of the project, is the constitution of a revolving fund, managed by a local cooperative advised by Ak Tenamit. This fund will be used with the norms and regulations of the cooperative.
The results expected of the project are following: 1) Members of 6 communities qualified in the elaboration of two new crafts using non wood row materials for the preservation of the environment; 2) At least implied people's 30%, with an enough level of quality to market the product; 3) products with itself market place so that it becomes in auto-sustainable; 4) completely qualified promoters; 5) a finisheed pamphlet and in circulation; 6) economic repercussion in at least the 30% of the participants.
