Diversification of the agricultural production through of native vegetables crop and protection of the biodiversity by the reforestation with native fruit trees to preserve nine springs, in Los Espinos, Los Amates, Izabal.
This project seeks to preserve nine springs located around of the community, using at least 4 different species of native fruit trees. At side, the community has the purpose to achieve a balanced diet through the diversification of their food sources by mean to plant at least 4 native vegetables, in a Companion Planting System.
An important goal of this project, is the reforestation of 24 hectares with the native fruit trees to protect the nine springs.
In another hand, the native vegetables will be planting in 0.7 hectares. In both, fruit trees and vegetables activities all participants will have active duties.
