Awareness raising of communities living around the forest reserve, on conservation and importance of biodiversity. 15 workshops held for women and school children. Children also trained in documenting traditional knowledge of their elders.

Use of fuel efficient stoves as a measure of forest conservation promoted. 100 stoves installed and their use monitored.

Community members trained in soild conservation measures such as live fences, countour ridges, gulley plugging which was vital as they are living in hill slopes.

Home garden development with 5000 plants distributed and planted.
