Problem to be solved touch the hollow tree, during routine forest management works cut as non-economic, very often old, dead tree bringing threat (as foresters believe) to the sanitary stat of the forest.
Project is trying to preserve hollow tree - habitat for many birds and small mammals.They constitute a very important, live element of each forest complex and then -its biodiversity. Education of foresters and local community (schools!) is planned as well as inventory of old hollow, dead trees on 6400 hectares done by NATURA members together with pupils from schools involved in the project implementation.
Publication of brochure 3000 copies (Ecofund) and 3000 copies of information leaflet about the project; publication of the manual 2000 copies for teachers (manual for conducting classes);poster biodivesity in the forest (3000 copies Ecofund); organisation of workshops por teachers (how to use manual, generally - biodiversity of the forest), workshops for foresters; installation of 2000 nesting boxes of 3 types for bats;
Project of strong educational and demonstration aspects.
