Promotion of the Ecological Farming in the Klaipeda County
The project has several fields of activities. The main aim of the project is to stimulate Lithuanian farmers? conversion from conventional farming system to organic and partnerships. Organic farming helps to solve economical and social problems. Rural society will be encouraged to move to the organic farming system for the reducing environmental pollution from agriculture. Fields of project activities:
1) Increasing of level of education, skills and consciousness through farmers? training. Theoretical and practical knowledge is presented during trainings and seminars-presentations and field days for people interested in organic farming.
2) Applied scientific research and investigation. Implementation of the project will increase number of work place in rural areas, income for organic farmers. The projects overcame its expectations: it was planned that after the project number of organic farmers in the Western Lithuania will increase by 10-15%, and now we can observe incensement by 200%.
