Agricultural Waste Utilization as Fuels at Community-scale
Agricultural Waste Utilization as Fuels at Community-scale
Natural cloth dying is a supplementary occupation of the weavers? group whose main occupation is paddy farming. Dying cloth involves using heat energy from fire-wood which become more and more scarce. In addition, as dying process requires non-iodize salt as an ingredient, the waste water causes land degradation and need to be contained and coped with

Objectives of the project:

1. To study and design an energy-saving stove required for dying process
2. To build capacity of target population on dying and nursery of species of pigments
3. To disseminate activities and lessons learnt to women and youth in the village

Activities:

1. Acquiring technical information on the design and construction of energy-saving stove
2. Conducting study tours and training for project members
3. Building an energy-efficiency stove for cloth dying
4. Building nursery of pigment species and of native trees for fire-woods
