Nan River Protection (Hugsa Nam Nan )
One of the four major tributaries of the Chaophaya River draining into the Gulf of Thailand/South China Sea, the Nan River has been degraded at an alarming rate, especially water species in the river and its creeks.

Objectives:

1. To protect water quality against pollution
2. To assure food security for target communities
3. To rehabilitate ecosystems of the Nan River

Activities:

1. Joining hands with both private and public sector in demarcating fish conservation zones
2. Launching religious rites for instilling conservation awareness of target population
3. Launching campaigns on less chemical agricultural practices
4. Launching reforestation in the river ecosystems.
