Water Hyacinth Purification Ponds and Income Generation project at the Nairobi Dam.
This is a imcome generating project for Kibera SLum targeting especially women groups. The Kisumu Innovation Centre Kenya will demonstrate how the water hyacinth can be used to make crafts and furniture as a commercial enterprise. The project will also demonstrate how the weed purifies water in the purification ponds.
